What if a hero was dependent on the weather? That is what I want to explore with my story called Latent Heat. In this story, a random girl called Mia gets blackmailed into an experiment.

She was given something, but no one knows what. Follow the story as she clashes with people who only see one thing in her: a weapon. It’s not just a silly story about superpowers, it’s a story about corruption, betrayal, and science.

A small extract, the first few lines.

“There are two kinds of heat, sensible heat and latent heat. Sensible heat is what you can feel, what we measure with thermometers, yet it’s the least significant. Latent heat is where the real change happens, where we switch between states. It’s where the fundamental properties of something actually change.”
I honestly wouldn’t have heard it if I wasn’t taking my medication. Every day, he repeats the same thing, trying to sound smart, like he knows what he’s talking about. Yet, he doesn’t know what to answer when I ask him a question. Watch and learn.
